Temporada Adrià Ovando!!

Aquí´esta el video de la temporada 2013 del joven del team. Muy buen video con imagenes de los alpes en Francia, en Millo, Salt (Catalunya) y muchos destinos recomendables para remar.

Here is the video of the 2013 season of Adrià Ovando, the yougest member of the team. Good video with good images of the French alps, Millos, Salt (Catalonia) and a lot of places very recommended for go kayaking.

NANTAHALA FREESTYLE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!

El pasado 25 de agosto Aran un palista de Pallars Riders fue a entrenar y competir en los mundiales de kayak freestyle en USA! La primera semana estuvimos entrenando  todos los día junto el team de españa, Ander, Edu, Núria, Quim, Aitor y Jacko el entrenador.También fuimos a escalar con Jason Craig,fua una buena idea  ya que en todo el día no teníamos nada que hacer,  nos llevó a una buena zona para escalar un poco! El primer día competíamos Ander y yo,al final obtuve la posición 15! El entorno era muy bonito, mucha gente y mucha fiesta!! Aquí tenéis unas fotos!!

Fin de semana en el II Salt kayak festival!!

Este fin de semana Gerd, Adrià, Aran e Ian, cuatro miembros del team, han viajado hasta Salt para competir en el II Salt kayak festival. Ha avido una gran participacion de gente de todo el mundo en esta segunda edición, se hizo una cross racing con Gerd en primera posición de los grandes y Adrià en primera posición de los pequeños pero tambien con una muy buena participacion de Ian e Aran que pasaron a las semifinales de los grandes.
Se hizo tambien una competición de freestyle con una muy buena participación de todos los miembros del team, pero lo mas divertido de el Salt kayak festival es el descenso de la K.A.B, un camino rural, que una vez al año se convierte en un rio, ya que abren las compuertas. Aquí os dejo con unas fotos!!!

Disfrutando en los alpes franceses

Durante cinco dias dos miembros del team Pallars riders, Adrià Ovando e Ian Salvat han estado remando por los alpes franceses. Han podido disfrutar de buenos paisajes i sobretodo de buenos rios. Aqui os dejo con algunas fotos, es un sitio muy recomenable para los kayakistas.

During five days two members of the team Pallars riders, Adrià Ovando e Ian Salvat were paddling in the french alps. They can enjoy a lot of good places and good rivers. Here I leave some photos, it's a place very advisable for kayakers.

EXTREM KAYAK PALLARS SOBIRÀ

Last weekend started the Pyrenees Cup of extreme kayak. The first trial was in the Upper Noguera (Pallars Sobirà), a river of class IV/V.
It was a cold weekend, so the ice melting stopped and this left us with less water, but it was also fun.
The first day we performed the Team and Slalom race, and we ended it with a meal and a dinner for all the participants.
The second day we had the sprint Race in Extasis canyon where we enjoyed with the preliminar and the final where 10 finalists entered.

Here you have the Ream Race results and the General ones, with some pictures.

Now we have to wait for the next weekend when will be held the second competition of the Pyrenees Cup, in the Ara River.

Kayaking the magical Rio Baker

Aquí tenéis el primer episodio de SBP y Epic TV; Kayak en el río Baker en Patagonia, Chile. El Baker es el río más caudaloso de Chile y ofrece algunos de los mejores rápidos que he remado en mi vida además de un paisaje de ensueño. HidroAysén pretende construir dos presas en el Baker, una en el mismo cañón del vídeo.

Esperemos que la lucha siga adelante y podamos disfrutar de este magnífico río por muchos años más! Viva Patagonia sin Represas, SIEMPRE!

First episode from SBP and Epic TV series; Kayaking down the Baker in Patagonia, Chile. The Baker is the largest river in Chile and offers some of the best whitewater I've ever paddled together with an amazing landscape. HidroAysén is willing to built two mega dams on this gem, on of them on the same canyon you can see on the video.

Hoping young generations will be able to see this place as it is and paddle this magical river for ever; NO DAMS! Viva Patagonia sin Represas, SIEMPRE!

I've been living in this village for a few years and even If this place doesn't have the best kayaking in the world, the combination of many good aspects makes it one of my favorite places to hang out in the spring.

Training in Millau!

Por semana santa se convocó una concentración de freestyle en Millau (Francia). Los convocados fueron Aran, Iker, Dani, Judith, Kira, Quim, Nuria ... y Albert Aixàs que nos acompañó!
Fue una buena semana ya que no paramos de remar, gracias al Jacko Jackson que era nuestro entrenador aprendimos tanto a movernos en el rulo cómo nuevas maniobras!

getting back in shape!

I am slowly coming back to where I was before the injure. Occasionally we been having some water in Sort but not much and just for a few days. I've done more slalom in this last 2 weeks than in my whole life and I have to say it's really fun and difficult... so much to learn.
